Grundon on the BBC
BBC TV Oxford visited Grundon Waste Management’s Benson HQ on Thursday for a feature on the company’s new cycle safety campaign.
Reporter Brennan Nicholls interviewed Grundon’s group logistics manager, John Stephens, who is responsible for overseeing the work and training of all Grundon’s 300+ drivers, and also talked to cyclists from the local RP Vision Racing Team. They filmed out and about on the roads and heard about all the new technology installed on the vehicles to help reduce the risk of accidents.
The visit came ahead of next Sunday’s official launch of Grundon’s new cycle safety campaign, which aims to help both cyclists and Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) drivers to see the road through different eyes.
Earlier in the day, John had also been a guest on the BBC Radio Oxford morning show.
